put in last wednesday night. jon: have you told him he's not a great debater? i'm not sure anybody has ever said that to the president. >> i don't work for president obama, i don't tell him anything. i think his staff served his poorly if president obama wasn't watching mitt romney change from 20 11-inch to 2012, they made an egregious error of not not being a student of his progress. and being prepared for when a great debater romney is. i don't think obama has ever been a terrific debater. i thought he was well matched and eclipsed by hillary clinton in 08. he put in such a poor performance even by his past performances standards that he really is going to have to pick up his game. whether to attack is really tricky now, because if he comes off as mean and romney continues a really sort of confident and calm and in command performance like the one he put in last week while the president tries to bat away at him i don't think that will do him any good especially in a town hall setting. he has to come on strong a
